Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Owner Operated AI website and services, operated by Owner Operated AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you’re not comfortable with any part of them, please don’t use the service — or email us and we’ll talk through it.

We’ve written these in plain English because that’s how we prefer to do business.

1. What We Do

Owner Operated AI provides two core services:

Free AI Analysis

You submit your business website URL and we run it through our AI system to generate a report identifying automation opportunities. This is provided free of charge, as-is, with no obligation.

Done-for-You Automation

You hire us to build and configure the AI automations identified in your report — chatbots, review workflows, lead capture systems, email automation, and more. These are scoped, priced, and delivered as one-time projects.

We also offer optional monthly maintenance retainers for clients who want us to continue improving and managing their automations after the initial project is delivered.

We reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue any feature of the free service at any time without notice. Material changes to paid services will be communicated to active clients.

2. Free Analysis — Scope and Limitations

The free AI audit report is an AI-generated estimate based on the publicly accessible content of your website at the time of analysis. It is intended to give you a general sense of where automation could help your business.

This report is not a guarantee or a binding quote. The AI does not have access to your internal systems, business processes, or operational details. Specific automation recommendations, timelines, and final pricing are determined only after a scoping conversation with our team.

By submitting a URL, you confirm that you have the right to share that URL and that submitting it does not violate any third-party agreement.

3. Paid Services and Payment Terms

Pricing

Paid project pricing is confirmed in writing (email or proposal) before any work begins. The price you agree to is final — we do not add surprise fees after the project starts.

Payment processing

All payments are processed through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service. Owner Operated AI does not store your payment card information.

When payment is due

For one-time projects, payment is typically collected in full upfront before work begins, unless otherwise agreed in your project proposal. For maintenance retainers, billing recurs monthly on the date your retainer started.

Refund policy

Because our work involves immediately billable time and third-party service costs, we do not offer refunds after work has begun. “Work has begun” means we have sent you a project kickoff message, requested access credentials, or started any deliverable.

The exception: if we fail to deliver the agreed-upon scope within a reasonable timeframe (more than 30 days past the committed delivery date, without a mutually agreed extension), you are entitled to a full refund. We stand behind our work.

If you have a concern about quality or delivery, contact us before requesting a chargeback. We will make it right.

Maintenance retainers

Monthly retainers may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — we do not provide prorated refunds for partial months. You keep all work delivered up to the date of cancellation.

4. Deliverables and Intellectual Property

When you pay for a Owner Operated AI project, the deliverables we build for you are yours. Once payment is complete, you own:

  • All custom automation workflows, chatbot configurations, and integrations we create specifically for your business.
  • All written content (email sequences, chatbot scripts, response templates) created as part of your project.
  • All documentation and handoff materials we provide.

Owner Operated AI retains rights to our internal tools, templates, and methodology. We may reuse general frameworks and approaches across client projects, but we will never reuse content or configurations built specifically for your business.

Third-party platforms you use (e.g., Zapier, Make, Manychat, GHL) are subject to their own licensing terms. We help you set them up, but we don’t own them and cannot guarantee their continued availability or pricing.

5. Your Responsibilities

To deliver your project successfully, we need your cooperation. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your business, goals, and technical setup during onboarding.
  • Give us access to the platforms and accounts we need to complete your project (e.g., your website backend, CRM, email platform).
  • Respond to our questions and review requests within a reasonable timeframe. Delays on your end may push back your delivery date.
  • Use the automations we build in compliance with applicable laws and the terms of service of any platforms involved.
  • Not use our service to build anything illegal, deceptive, or harmful.

Delivery timelines assume reasonable responsiveness. If a project stalls for more than 30 days due to non-responsiveness on the client’s side, we reserve the right to close the project. In that case, work completed to date is delivered as-is and payment is non-refundable.

6. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

Our service uses AI — specifically large language models — to analyze websites and generate recommendations. AI analysis is inherently probabilistic, not deterministic. This means:

  • The free audit report may contain inaccurate, incomplete, or overly optimistic assessments of what’s possible for your business.
  • Estimated time savings, revenue impact, and ROI projections in any report are illustrative — not guarantees.
  • Specific automation recommendations are subject to review and refinement before they become part of any paid project scope.

We do not warrant that any AI-generated analysis is accurate, complete, or suited to your specific business situation. The report is a starting point for a conversation, not a business plan.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Owner Operated AI’s total liability to you for any claim arising from use of our service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost revenue, lost data, business interruption).
  • Failures, outages, or policy changes by third-party platforms (Stripe, OpenAI, Zapier, etc.).
  • Results you achieve (or don’t achieve) using the automations we build.
  • Any damages arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or consequential damages. In those cases, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Confidentiality

We understand you may share sensitive business information with us during a project. We treat that information as confidential and do not share it with anyone outside our team or the third-party services required to deliver your project.

Likewise, we ask that you treat any proprietary methodologies, pricing structures, or internal documentation we share with you as confidential.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of [State], or through binding arbitration if both parties agree.

Before escalating any dispute, we ask that you contact us first at hello@owneroperated.ai. We’re a small team and we’d genuinely rather resolve things directly than through legal channels.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

For changes that materially affect the rights of active paying clients, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you directly.
