Owner Operated AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides AI-powered analysis and automation services for small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services, how we use it, and your rights around that data. We keep it plain — no legal fog.

1. What We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to deliver our service. Here’s exactly what that means:
Website URL
When you run a free AI analysis, you submit your business’s website URL. This is the primary input we pass to our AI system to generate your audit report. We store it alongside your report results.
Email address (optional)
We only collect your email address if you voluntarily provide it — for example, to receive your audit results, to book a consultation, or to start a paid project. We never require an email to run the free analysis. If you do share your email, we use it solely to communicate with you about your report or project.
Usage analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site (pages viewed, time on page, general referral source). This data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individual visitors from it, and it is not shared or sold.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, phone number, business financials, or any payment card information directly. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe (see Third Parties below). We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data to any third party.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used for one purpose: to provide and improve the Owner Operated AI service. Specifically:
- ›To generate your AI audit report. Your website URL is processed through our AI pipeline to identify automation opportunities specific to your business.
- ›To send you your report or follow up.If you provide an email, we use it to deliver your results and, if you’ve expressed interest, to discuss next steps with you.
- ›To improve our service. Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns help us understand which features are useful and where we can do better. We review audit reports internally to improve our AI prompt quality over time.
- ›To communicate about your project. If you become a paying client, we use your contact information to coordinate deliverables, ask questions, and provide support.
We do not use your information for advertising, do not profile you for resale, and do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
3. Cookies and Analytics
Our site uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies or fingerprint individual users. It collects anonymous, aggregated data about page views and navigation patterns.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising cookies. If you use a browser that blocks trackers, our site functions exactly the same — we just won’t see that visit in our analytics.
4. Third-Party Services
To deliver our service, we work with a small number of trusted providers. Each receives only the minimum data necessary:
Your website URL (and any publicly accessible content from it) is sent to OpenAI's API to generate your AI audit report. OpenAI processes this under their API data usage policies. As of this writing, OpenAI does not use API-submitted data to train their models by default.
Audit reports and associated data (website URL, report content, and email address if provided) are stored in Supabase, a hosted Postgres database service. Data is stored in the US. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II compliant.
All payment transactions are processed directly by Stripe. Owner Operated AI never sees or stores your credit card number. Stripe collects the payment and billing information required to process your transaction under their own privacy policy.
If you book a free consultation, you’ll interact with Cal.com's scheduling tool. Any information you submit through that form is governed by Cal.com's privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as it’s needed:
- ›Audit reports are stored indefinitely so we can reference them if you return or become a client. You can request deletion at any time.
- ›Email addresses are retained for as long as you have an active relationship with us (open project, active retainer, or ongoing conversation). If you ask us to remove your email, we will.
- ›Payment records are retained by Stripe as required by law and their own policies. We retain invoice records on our end for accounting purposes as required by applicable tax law.
- ›Analytics datais aggregate and anonymous — it has no retention policy because there’s no personal data to delete.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, and to request deletion of your data. Because we collect very little personal information to begin with, most of these requests are simple for us to fulfill.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@owneroperated.ai with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We’ll respond within 5 business days.
If you are located in the European Union or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively. We honor all valid requests from users in those jurisdictions.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect your data. Our database is hosted on Supabase with access controls and encryption at rest. We do not store payment card data. Our team has minimal access to customer data and only views it when necessary to support your project.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify active clients directly. Continued use of our service after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
